Technical features
Elen proximity sensors for translating shafts have been designed to meet the application needs of manufacturers of mechanical and hydraulic subsystems for industrial, agricultural and transport vehicles. They are the non-contact alternative solution to the use of 2 microswitches, eliminating any inconvenience due to the wear of moving electromechanical parts.
They require radial mounting and are particularly suitable for detecting the position and direction of movement of translating shafts. The operation of these sensors is based on the detection of the intensity of a magnetic field which varies according to the position of the tree.
The magnetic field is generated by a permanent magnet which can be mounted on the translating member (external magnet version) or positioned inside the sensor itself (internal magnet version). This second version requires a mechanical machining (groove/difference) on the part of the shaft that passes under the sensor, corresponding to the 2 positions to be detected.
Mechanical configurations
3 different lengths available under the head. Possibility to create versions with customised lengths, available in internal or external magnet versions.
Applications
Elen proximity sensors for translating shafts find typical applications on translating shafts, control rods for speed reducers, valve sliders on hydraulic or pneumatic distributors.
