Praxis knob manual controls - Technical characteristics

The Elen Praxis series throttle knob is an integrated manual control with a robust and compact mechanical structure and exclusive design.
Suitable for use on agricultural machinery and industrial vehicles, it can also operate in harsh conditions, i.e. in working environments subject to strong vibrations and exposure to external agents.
The principle of operation is that a Hall sensor integrated in the base detects the field intensity of a magnet integrated in the knob and provides an output proportional to the angle of rotation.
The Praxis knob is supplied complete with standard screen printing for direct installation on the dashboard, armrest or chassis of the vehicle, without the need for additional screen printing by the customer.

PROGRAMMABLE ELECTRONICS

- Supply voltage: 5 V; 10-30V
- Output signal: single, double, voltage, current, PWM and CAN BUS (SAE J1939)
- Configurable output (for each channel) in the ranges: 0-5V, 0-10V , 4-20mA, % duty cycle and CAN message

MECHANICS

- Compact solution
- Structure in plastic material
- Standard variant with knob
- Knob available in black or orange RAL 2004 (typical for agricultural applications )
- Knob base with standard silk-screen printing (hare/tortoise for acceleration/deceleration)
- Plug and play solution and easy installation on the dashboard
- Mechanical stroke: 90° (±45°)
- Customizable cable length and connector

RELIABILITY

'- Contactless Hall effect
- IP67 protection rating
- Immunity to vibrations and electromagnetic disturbances
- Operating temperature: -40°/+ 85°
- Protections from ESD, Load-dump, overvoltage, polarity reversal, short circuit on output

FUNCTIONAL SAFETY

- Signal redundancy thanks to the integration of isolated and galvanically distinct circuits (double output version)

Mechanical configurations

The control consists of a screen-printed base and a knob (black or orange RAL 2004). It is mounted directly above the dashboard and is fully visible, requiring no vertical space below the mounting surface.
