Technical features
Proximity sensors for hydraulic cylinders are aimed at manufacturers of vehicles or steering axles to detect the alignment of the wheels to the vehicle axis. Metallic magneto-resistive solutions are available for stainless steel cylinders and Hall effect sensors with plastic bodies for ferromagnetic cylinders.
The function of this type of sensor (mounted on the outside of the cylinder) is to detect the presence or absence of a magnetic field within a specific reading range determined by the presence of a magnetic strip or ring inside the cylinder along the direction of sensor passage.
Mechanical configurations
Plastic and metal solutions available depending on the type of cylinder.
Applications
Elen proximity sensors for hydraulic cylinders are typically used on stainless steel cylinders and iron cylinders for steering axles.
