Proximity sensors with reed-switch limit switches - Technical characteristics

Reed switch limit contacts are ball or piston proximity sensors that operate by the opening and closing of a reed switch contact. They are suitable for use in harsh environments as they operating reliably and accurately in the presence of vibration, shock and high temperatures.
The reed contact intercepts the magnetic field generated by a magnet rotating with the shaft and outputs an on/off signal. Single and dual output configurations are available with normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) contacts.
